I also have been obsessed with using textured brushes which I think are great, but now I'm starting to think I'm overusing them. Looking back at Pascal's art, it seems textured, but I notice that when you zoom into his artwork, it still maintains a really clean look. I'm going to play around with how to not busy a drawing up because of distracting textures, but putting just the right amount to give it life and interest.
I probably could have simplified the grass up a bit and just indicated it some some places. More experimentation! :)
