Final Compilation of Sketches!

Hey! So it's been a while since I've uploaded anything on my blog, but I thought I'd upload a compilation of some of my sketches from my Viscom 1 class with Patrick Ballesteros at CDA!! I learned ALOT from that class and I highly recommend anyone who wants to brush up foundational drawing skills to take that class.  Patrick not only teaches you to draw beautifully, but to render effectively and efficiently, learning to not only see the objects you draw, but break them down into simple shapes and see through the object! These skills should be applied to everything and every time you draw.

In tribute of my nostalgia for flying kites. This one was frustrating because I had this vision in my head of how I wanted it to look and couldn't get it to really translate.  and then I kind of scribbled over it, tightened it again a little,  and gave up.  Try again some other time.  Inspired by Santa Monica!

Cafe Sketches

Been looking at a lot of cool art lately, and I was inspired by the messy inky look, so I decided to do some contourish- one line drawing of people at a cafe I worked at yesterday.  I didn't pick up my pen for any of these! It as refreshing to do something different.
